What is Yoalin?
YOALIN – short for Youth Alpine Interrail – is a project of the CIPRA Youth Council and CIPRA International that started in 2018. It enables 150 selected young people to travel sustainably across the Alps by means of public transport in the summer since 2018.
What’s it about?
The goal is to show you the adventurousness, the comfort, the practicality and the fun of holidays by train and the beauty of the alpine countries. By slowing down the journey and travelling by train there is more time to get to know the places and people along the route. Young people living in the Alps and beyond between the ages of 18 and 27 could apply for the Youth Alpine Interrail Passes.
Due to the Covid-19-pandemic unfortunately in 2020 travelling with this special Youth Alpine Interrail-Pass through the Alps was not possible. For 2021 we worked out a new concept with train vouchers for travelling in a single country. Since 2022 alpine wide travel was again possible without restrictions. Check the FAQs for more information!
