Take part in our contest and send in your creative works – such as photos, videos, comics, drawings, stories or poems – and share your perspective on the Alps. Capture your journey, express your ideas and help spread the message by becoming an ambassador for nature and sustainable mobility.
You can submit up to three artworks across the two categories: Ecological connectivity and Sustainable mobility.
Ecological connectivity 
Explore nature, protected areas as well as urban areas and think about natural features and how they are interlinked and connected. Is a meadow green infrastructure or rather a home to several species? How does lynx migrate, how can plants exchange seeds, is there a bottleneck for the animals to cross a highway. Biodiversity, ecological connectivity and nature restoration are important aspects that make the Alps a rich habitat. Map the status quo or think about how to improve the current situation! Sustainable mobility
Explore different ways of travelling through the Alps and reflect on how mobility shapes your journey. Move consciously – whether hiking, cycling or travelling by train or bus – and experience how slowing down changes what you see and how you connect with places and people. Sustainable mobility invites you to discover new perspectives, challenge yourself and engage more deeply with your surroundings. How does your way of travelling shape your story and your encounters?

There will be up to 6 winners in this contest. These are the terms:

  • We accept 1 – 3 contribution(s) about the Yoalin travels per person and per category
  • All creative forms are allowed (photos, videos, texts, comics, poems, haïkus, illustrations, drawings, land art…). 
  • Pictures need to be high quality (+150 dpi)
  • Languages: The texts have to be written in French, German, Slovene, Italian or English.
  • The jury of ambassadors – former Yoalin travellers – is checking the quality of the contribution, creativity, and that you respect the conditions.
  • Comics: drawings will be considered as part of the comics, not as separate elements.
  • Disclaimers: Not inciting to violence or discrimination! No strong language! No plagia!
